Diplo, born Thomas Wesley Pentz, is a Grammy-winning recording artist, producer, DJ and entrepreneur whose career spans more than two decades. He has collaborated with some of the world’s biggest artists while building a global presence through his own work and projects including Major Lazer, LSD with Sia and Labrinth, Jack Ü with Skrillex and Silk City with Mark Ronson. A thirteen-time Grammy nominee and three-time winner, Diplo has also founded multiple record labels and publishing companies throughout his career.
His latest work includes two volumes of his experimental phonk project d00mscrvll, drawing on his longstanding connection to Memphis rap through a new lens. Beyond music, Diplo continues to expand his creative ventures through Diplo’s Run Club, a series of 5K races combined with music festivals headlined by Diplo. With events attracting more than 10,000 runners, the project has expanded to nine US cities for 2026 and 2027, further establishing Diplo’s presence beyond the world of music.
